Huss Family Memorial Scholarship The Huss Family Scholarship Fund was established in 1977, as the David Huss Memorial Scholarship, by friends and family as a memorial to David, who exemplified leadership and personal integrity in his life. In 1998, in memory and honor of David’s mother, Marion, the scholarship fund was expanded and renamed to include and remember her wonderful kindness and years of loving service to Memorial Church and the larger community. This year we also honor the life of William Sheridan (Sherry) Huss, a dedicated member of the church, who shared his passion for education with the youth of the church. The purpose of the Huss Family Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to individuals belonging to Memorial Presbyterian Church who are pursuing higher education in a college or university. It is intended to help entering college freshmen with expenses related to beginning a college career. The Presbyterian College Scholarship The Presbyterian College Scholarship Fund was created in 1979 by an individual grant of $10,000.00. The intent of the donor is to provide an endowment that would grant funds to students attending an accredited Presbyterian college. The Ellmaker Scholarship was established to financially assist a person who is enrolled in a seminary program, with the intention of entering a Presbyterian ministry, such as Pastor, Director of Christian Education, Minister of Music, etc.
