Community of Faith

Memorial Presbyterian Church is a faith community within the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. We share much in common with every other Christian congregation and denomination -- we proclaim Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior; we view the celebration of the Lord's Supper as the central act of Christian worship; and we look to the Bible for instruction and inspiration.

Our Mission

We are and will be the Church in the world, brought together by God's love. We are called to spiritually nurture God's people by proclaiming God's Good News in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in an inclusive atmosphere. Using God's Word and Christ's example, we will serve with passion to promote peace and justice. As a community and as individuals, we will act as the hands and feet of God by constantly being:

o       In worship - where all generations are joined in prayer and praise;

o        In learning - where learning, sharing, and celebrating are seen as acts of faith;

o        In mission - where we respond actively to Christ's command to love and serve others, both locally and globally.
